Message from Israel to the Residents of Beirut What Does it Carry

Khaberni -  The Lebanese army warned of leaflets dropped by an Israeli aircraft over Beirut, containing an electronic code (QR Code), which it said facilitates communication with a unit in the Israeli army concerned with recruiting agents, confirming that scanning this code poses a security risk and could expose its owner to legal accountability, as reported by "Reuters".

In a related context, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz threatened Lebanon with paying an "increasing price" of destruction if Hezbollah attacks continue amid ongoing military escalation between the two sides.
Lebanon pays the party's sins

Katz said in a video clip that the Israeli forces carried out a strike overnight targeted at a bridge on the Litani River in southern Lebanon, noting that it was used for Hezbollah militants to cross and transport weapons.

He added that the strike "is only the beginning", warning that the Lebanese government and the country's infrastructure may face further damage if the attacks continue.

He also warned that Lebanon might face "loss of land" until the Lebanese government commits to disarming Hezbollah, at a time when Israel has expanded the scope of its raids since the conflict reignited on the second of March.

In contrast, Lebanese President Joseph Aoun stated that his country has not yet received any response to the negotiation initiative he proposed this week to end the war.

He explained, while receiving the Secretary-General of the United Nations Antonio Guterres, that he expressed Lebanon's readiness to enter into negotiations, expressing hope for international community support for the country during this critical stage.

Aoun had proposed an initiative including a complete truce and the start of direct negotiations under international sponsorship, in addition to supporting the Lebanese army to enable it to implement a plan to disarm Hezbollah.

The Lebanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that it had summoned the acting Iranian ambassador in Beirut and handed him an official note expressing Lebanon's absolute rejection of any interference in its internal affairs, confirming that relations with Tehran must be based on the principle of equality and respect for state sovereignty.
