U.S. President Donald Trump threatened to carry out a severe strike against Iran next week, in response to Iran's closure of the Hormuz Strait.
Trump said in an interview with Fox News that the United States would launch strong strikes if necessary, and confirmed that Washington might accompany commercial ships in the region if needed.
Trump added that he hopes things will go well, but he noted that the situation in the Hormuz Strait will remain under constant surveillance, saying: "We will see what happens".
