Khaberni - Israeli media reported an increase in the number of injured due to a rocket fall in the Galilee region of northern Israel to 80 people.
These outlets also talked about damage to hundreds of homes in the Galilee region of northern Israel due to rockets falling during simultaneous attacks attributed to Iran and Hezbollah, which caused tension between leaders of local authorities and the Israeli military about the way to manage the security situation.
Israeli media stated that about 300 homes were damaged in Galilee as a result of a rocket falling on a building, while Israeli ambulance services reported 80 people injured with varying injuries due to the incident.
The media explained that the attack came in three consecutive waves of rockets targeting northern Israel within one hour early Friday morning, pointing out that a building in the Kiryat Tivon area near Haifa was damaged after being hit by a rocket, without recording any injuries.
The Israeli media also reported this morning on Friday about the interception of a rocket launched from Iran aimed at Eilat and Wadi Araba without casualties.
Disagreement between local leaders and the army
In a related context, "Channel 12" revealed a heated verbal altercation that occurred on Thursday between heads of local authorities in northern Israel and the commander of the Galilee division in the army, Yuval Gaza.
According to the channel, local authorities' leaders expressed their anger about the military's handling of security developments, accusing it of misleading them about the duration of the warning sirens, which lasted for about ten minutes, in addition to downplaying the chances of escalation.
Local officials told the military commander that what happened "adds to a narrative promoted throughout a full year claiming that Hezbollah does not have a presence near the border nor the ability to launch anti-tank rockets."
Meanwhile, officials from the Northern Command of the army said that "the current battle is defensive, while Iran remains the main arena, not Lebanon."
Casualty toll since the war began
In related news, the Israeli Ministry of Health announced that the number of injured since the start of the war on Iran has risen to 2745 people, including 85 who are still receiving treatment in hospitals.
The ministry added that among the injured, 11 are in serious condition, 10 in moderate condition, and 64 in mild condition, plus a person undergoing medical assessment.
Hospitals admitted 179 injured within the past twenty-four hours, among them 4 in moderate condition, 157 in mild condition, and 18 cases of panic.
Moreover, according to the Israeli Institute for National Security Studies at Tel Aviv University, 14 Israelis have been killed since the outbreak of the ongoing war related to the attacks on Iran, although these numbers remain questionable due to military censorship imposed on information related to military operations.
This escalation comes amid a regional war that began on February 28th, when Israel and the United States launched attacks on Iran, while Tehran responded by launching rockets and drones towards Israel.
Israel also expanded its military operations against Hezbollah in Lebanon on March 2nd through air raids on the southern suburbs of the capital Beirut and other areas in the south and east of the country, before starting a limited ground incursion into southern Lebanon the following day.
