Khaberni - His Majesty King Abdullah II confirmed, during a phone call with His Majesty King Willem-Alexander, King of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, on Thursday, the necessity of intensifying international efforts to stop the serious escalation in the region.
During the call he received, His Majesty emphasized that Jordan places the protection of its citizens at the forefront of its priorities, and is continuing to take necessary measures to preserve its security and stability.
His Majesty the King cautioned against using the current developments as an excuse to violate the freedom of worshipers to reach Al-Aqsa Mosque/the Noble Sanctuary of Jerusalem, and to impose a new reality in the West Bank and Gaza.
His Majesty also stressed the necessity of supporting Lebanon's efforts to maintain its security, stability, and sovereignty.
For his part, His Majesty King Willem-Alexander, during the call, expressed the solidarity of the Netherlands with Jordan, reaffirming his country's commitment to the two-state solution as a way to achieve peace.
