Khaberni - Russia called on Israel and the United States, on Thursday, to cease attacks on Iran and to sit down at the negotiation table.
Maria Zakharova, spokesperson for the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, told reporters, "Russia will continue to take steps to de-escalate the situation in the Middle East as soon as possible and resolve any disputes through peaceful means."
She added, "The number of civilian casualties from the illegal military action carried out by Washington and Tel Aviv in Iran is estimated by the authorities to be in the thousands."
Since Saturday, February 28, Israel and the United States have been conducting airstrikes on Iran, which led to the death of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. Since then, Tehran has responded by striking Israel and countries in the region with missiles and drones.
