Khaberni - Dr. Sanjay Bhujraj, a cardiologist based in California, warned that some commonly marketed "healthy" foods might be the hidden cause behind the rise in triglyceride and blood sugar levels in many individuals.
Dr. Bhujraj, with over twenty years of experience, stated on his Instagram account that there is a significant gap between what people think about their diet and what medical indicators actually reveal.
The cardiologist pinpointed three foods he sees most commonly stored in everyday fridges:
Flavored yogurt
Marketed as a protein source, but it may contain 20-25 grams of sugar per serving, making it closer to a dessert than to a healthy breakfast.
Green juices or commercial smoothies
When the fiber is removed, the juice turns into concentrated sugar, straining the pancreas and impacting blood sugar balance.
Ready-made salad dressings
Many contain refined oils, sugars, and preservatives, and using them daily can increase hidden inflammation and add uncounted calories.
Dr. Bhujraj emphasized that the danger does not lie in consuming these foods once, but in turning them into a daily habit, creating a vicious cycle of rising insulin and metabolic stress.
He concluded his discussion by saying: "While these foods aren't necessarily bad, consuming them daily can cause inflammation, metabolic stress, and a pattern of rising insulin, which we are trying to help patients reverse."
