Khaberni - Israel said on Wednesday that it still possesses a wide range of targets that can be struck in Iran, which contradicts the statements made by U.S. President Donald Trump.
The Israeli military spokesperson Evi Dverin stated in a televised briefing, "As an army, we still have a wide bank of targets; we will expand our operations."
He added, "The goal is to undermine the pillars of the regime."
In a separate statement, an Israeli military source stated that since the beginning of the war, Israel has hit targets eight times more than those targeted during the last 12-day war in June.
The military did not mention how many targets have been hit since the current war began on February 28.
Earlier on Wednesday, the U.S. President reiterated that the war might end soon.
The news site "Axios" quoted Trump saying, "There is almost nothing left that can be targeted," and that the war will end soon.
He added, "As soon as I want to stop it, it will stop."
Trump makes contradictory statements regarding the war's objectives and the timing of its conclusion, but he increasingly points to its imminent end after it has led to a significant surge in oil prices.
On February 28, the United States and Israel launched an attack on Iran which resulted in the killing of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei on the first day.
As the war entered its twelfth day, Iran warned that it is prepared for a long war of attrition that could lead to the "destruction of the global economy."
