Kuwait's air defense systems detected 8 enemy drones, dealing with 7 by destroying them, while one drone fell outside the threat zone.
The Kuwaiti news agency "KUNA" quoted the official spokesperson for the Kuwaiti Ministry of Defense, Colonel Saud Al-Atwan, as saying during the media briefing on current events that the duty force from the National Guard had monitored and brought down 8 drones in the south of the country as part of the integration and coordination between the military bodies in the country.
He mentioned that the Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) group from the Land Force Engineering had dealt with and disposed of 172 reports since the beginning of the operations.
On his part, the spokesperson for the National Guard, Brigadier Jedaan Fadel Jedaan, explained that the engineers of the Explosive Ordnance Disposal unit in the Engineering Battalion destroyed parts of a warhead of a drone that had fallen into a fuel tank.
He added that the unit had received a report about the incident, and upon inspection, it was found that the warhead had fallen into the tank without exploding, and the processing operation took 7 days, reflecting the readiness and high efficiency of the "Engineering Battalion."
