Bahrain relocates planes from its international airport to alternative airports

Khaberni - The Civil Aviation Affairs Authority in Bahrain said it has coordinated the successful relocation of a number of aircraft from Bahrain International Airport to alternative airports.

The authority added that the relocation was aimed at enhancing operational readiness and ensuring the smooth flow of air operations.

The Civil Aviation Affairs Authority of the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications of Bahrain announced the repositioning of Gulf Air’s passenger-free aircraft and several cargo aircraft for other companies, as part of arrangements that are appropriate for the current situation.

The Civil Aviation Affairs confirmed that these measures come as part of ongoing coordination with relevant entities and airlines, to ensure the continuity of air operations according to the highest safety and security standards.

It also noted that the repositioning operations are among the operational procedures followed in such circumstances to support the future operational plans of airlines and meet the requirements of the next phase.
