Arab Islamic Bank Supports Tkiyet Um Ali Programs During the Blessed Month of Ramadan

Khaberni -   Within the community responsibility program and in cooperation with Tkiyet Um Ali, the Arab Islamic Bank participated in several volunteer programs during the blessed month of Ramadan aiming to support needy families.
 
The cooperation program included a team of bank employees volunteering in two main activities, represented in the volunteer food parcel packing program, where employees contributed to preparing parcels for beneficiary families, besides sponsoring a day of the "Ma'idat Al-Rahman" program held by Tkiyet Um Ali at its main headquarters in Al-Mahatta area in Amman, where the bank's volunteers helped in preparing and serving iftar meals to about 5000 fasting people.
In turn, Mr. Iyad Al-Assali, the General Manager of the Arab Islamic Bank International, confirmed that the bank's participation in these initiatives comes as part of its annual support for the Tkiyet Um Ali program, especially sponsoring Ma'idat Al-Rahman and contributing to the preparation of food parcels for needy families.
Assali added that this initiative embodies the bank's vision of the importance of supporting institutions that care for the poor and needy and enhancing the culture of social solidarity and compassion in Jordanian society, which contributes to achieving more security, stability, and prosperity
 
Samer Bilqar, the General Manager of Tkiyet Um Ali, expressed his gratitude to the Arab Islamic Bank for its continuous and ongoing support for the programs of the Tkiyet over the past years. Bilqar confirmed that this continuous support reflects the steadfast belief of the Arab Islamic Bank in the vision of Tkiyet Um Ali, which aims to achieve a hunger-free Jordan and support needy families in all possible ways.
 It is worth mentioning that Tkiyet Um Ali is a non-governmental, non-profit organization established in 2003 aiming to combat food poverty in Jordan and currently working to provide monthly and sustainable food support to families living below the food poverty line in all provinces of the kingdom, delivering food parcels monthly and throughout the year to these families.

In conclusion, Assali expressed his thanks and appreciation to the team of volunteers from the Arab Islamic Bank and all the employees of Tkiyet Um Ali for their efforts in making this humanitarian initiative a success during the blessed month of Ramadan.
