Saar Hezbollah attacks from Lebanon exceed Irans strikes on Israel in a week

Khaberni - Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar said that the attacks Israel faced from Lebanese territory over the last week were more numerous than those directly launched by Iran.
Saar made these remarks during his meeting with the United Nations Special Coordinator for Lebanon, Jeanine Hennis-Plasschaert, in Tel Aviv, asserting that "Hezbollah has joined the war under Iranian pressure, as it did on October 8, 2023, and this time too, against Lebanon’s interest," he said.

Saar explained to the UN official that the Israeli government decided not to evacuate the residents of the northern towns this time, affirming "Israel's commitment to protecting them." He also emphasized that "weakening Hezbollah represents a common interest for both Israel and Lebanon."

He added that "Hezbollah is the one that initiated the attack against us, and there is no party in the international community moving to stop it except for us," in an effort to push for a greater role for the international community on the Lebanese front.

This comes as Israel continues its war against Lebanon, launching airstrikes targeting areas in southern and eastern Lebanon and the southern suburbs of Beirut, where it claims to be targeting Hezbollah infrastructure.
