Khaberni - The Ministry of Education in Jordan has launched the strategic plan for the years 2026–2030 at a time when the world is experiencing rapid transformations in the fields of knowledge, technology, and the job market. The launch of this plan is part of an effort to develop the educational system and enhance its ability to prepare a generation capable of dealing with future demands.
Education is no longer just a process of knowledge transfer, but has become an integrated system that seeks to build the individual and develop their intellectual, skill-based, and value-oriented capacities. From this arises the importance of strategic plans, which represent a roadmap for educational reform and the setting of educational priorities.
The new plan focuses on a set of core pillars, notably improving the quality of learning for students, enhancing reading and mathematics skills in early stages, and developing inclusive education to ensure equal educational opportunities for all students. The plan also aims to enhance the digital transformation in education, develop professional skills of teachers, and expand the opportunities for vocational and technical education to meet the needs of the job market.
With the importance of these directions, the success of the plan largely depends on the mechanisms of implementation and follow-up. Educational experiences confirm that the real challenge lies not in formulating the plans, but in the ability to transform them into tangible realities within the school.
Furthermore, achieving the objectives of this plan requires the provision of necessary resources, enhancing the partnership between the Ministry of Education and educational institutions and the local community, and empowering the teacher as the cornerstone in any educational reform process.
The Strategic Education Plan for 2026–2030 represents an important step towards the development of education in Jordan, but at the same time, it requires a strong executive will and a clear vision to ensure the achievement of its desired goals.
