AlHunaity confirms the readiness of the Jordanian Armed Forces to deal with current challenges and conditions

Khaberni - Major General Yousef Ahmad Al-Hunaity, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, confirmed the readiness of the armed forces to deal with various challenges and current conditions, underscoring the importance of the roles played by the border guard forces in maintaining national security and stability.

Al-Hunaity emphasized the necessity of maintaining the highest degrees of readiness and vigilance in light of the exceptional circumstances the region is experiencing.

This came during Major General Al-Hunaity's inspection, on Monday, of several formations and units of the Northern Military Region, where he began his tour at the Amr bin Al-Aas Mechanized Battalion /28, one of the units of the Yarmouk Mechanized Brigade /12 in the Northern Military Region, as part of his ongoing field tours to assess the progress of duties and the readiness of units and formations for various tasks, where he was received by the area commander.

The chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, in the presence of senior armed forces officers, listened to briefings presented by the officials about the operational and training tasks, in addition to logistical aspects and future plans intended for implementation, highlighting the importance of continuing to develop capabilities and enhance readiness to ensure the protection of the nation and safeguard its achievements and resources.

Al-Hunaity also inspected the Border Guard Brigade /2, and reviewed the measures taken to protect the borders and prevent smuggling and infiltration attempts, affirming that the Jordanian Armed Forces are committed to enhancing the border guard units with the necessary equipment and weapons to fulfill their duties and tasks.

The chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff also performed the Maghrib prayer in congregation at the Border Guard Battalion /10 Royal, and shared an Iftar meal with its personnel, appreciating their efforts in performing their national duty, and praising their high morale and dedication in executing the tasks assigned to them efficiently and competently.

At the end of the tour, Major General Al-Hunaity conveyed the pride and honor of His Majesty King Abdullah II, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, towards the heroes of the armed forces in their various formations and units, for the distinguished level they exhibit, and their significant efforts in maintaining security and stability of the Kingdom, amidst the current regional circumstances.
