Khaberni - Dr. Amr Khaled, the Islamic preacher, introduced a worship program during the last ten days of Ramadan that helps you reach the Night of Decree, understand its reward, and collect its great merit, leading to Ihsan, which is the best that Allah loves from His servants during these blessed days.
In the nineteenth episode of his Ramadan program "Guide - Journey with the Quran," Khaled focused on Surah Al-Isra, which includes a comprehensive spiritual worship program to live by during the last ten days, leading to Ihsan, as it is the divine path outlined by the Quran for you to delight your soul in the kingdom of God.
He mentioned that God Almighty carried the Prophet, peace be upon him, in spirit and body on a path between two sanctuaries; from the Sacred Mosque to the Al-Aqsa Mosque, and He will carry you in your spirit as if you see Him in the last ten days, on a spiritual path to reach Ihsan in ten days.
The Isra’ and reaching Ihsan
He clarified the goal of Surah Al-Isra, which is to cultivate Ihsan within you, because the purpose of the Isra’ is to reach Ihsan; the Isra’ is not just a journey atop the Buraq, but a symbol that by activating the sensation of Allah in the way of Isra’, God facilitated your journey to Him, leading you on the ten-day journey; the purpose of the Isra’ is to reach the station of Ihsan "as if you see Him".
Khaled noted that after the surah begins with, "Exalted is He who took His Servant...," the following verses discuss the Children of Israel, "the symbol of intense materialism," telling in the Quran that no matter how materialistic they become, they will lose: "And We decreed for the Children of Israel in the scripture that indeed you would do mischief on the earth twice and you will become exceedingly arrogant* So when the promise of the first of them came, we sent against you servants of ours - those of great military might, and they probed [even] into the homes, and it was a promise fulfilled."
He highlighted many verses about Ihsan in Surah Al-Isra, including: “And tell My servants to say that which is best...," "Say, 'Invoke Allah or invoke the Most Gracious [Al-Rahman]. Whichever [name] you call - to Him belong the best names...'," explaining how Ihsan elevates a person, allowing the spirit to traverse in the dominion, then soar, ascend, and rise to the throne like the Ascension (Mi'raj), as indicated by, "And We have committed to every person's cause his fate in his neck."
4 Acts of Worship in the Last Ten Days
Khaled specified four acts of worship, as a worship program for reaching Ihsan during the last ten days of Ramadan, as follows:
-The Quran: The quickest, strongest, and easiest way to connect you with Allah, it is what conducts you to God easily; thus, the mention of the Quran is very frequent in Surah Al-Isra, "Indeed, this Quran guides to that which is most upright," "And We send down from the Quran that which is a healing and a mercy to the believers," "And the recitation of dawn. Indeed, the recitation of dawn is ever witnessed."
-Worship at night with the Quran: "Also, from the night, worship Him as an additional task for you; it is expected that your Lord will resurrect you to a praised station," The prayer of Tahajjud is performed in the last third of the night, catch it even if only with two Rak'ahs. The meaning of Tahajjud: separate from the worldly life and go to whom you love, for it is not just a worship, but a state of love and devotion to whom you love. The praised station: a status on the Day of Judgment, praised by all people on it.
-Remembrance of Allah and Tasbeeh: Remembrance leads you quickly to Allah, so your spirit launches swiftly and flows to Allah. The first verse in Surah Al-Isra (Tasbeeh) is: "Exalted is He who took His Servant...," and in the middle of the surah (Tasbeeh): "The seven heavens and the earth and all that is therein praise Him,.." and towards the end of the surah (Tasbeeh): "And they say: 'Exalted is our Lord! Indeed, the promise of our Lord has been fulfilled.'". The meaning of Tasbeeh: from swimming; it means passing quickly in water and air.
-Supplication: Beautiful supplications in the surah: "And say, 'My Lord, grant me an entrance of truth and give me an exit of truth'," "Those whom they invoke strive for the means of access to their Lord," "Say: 'Invoke Allah or invoke the Most Merciful. Whichever you call – to Him belong the best names.' ".
Khaled says: Open the door of Ihsan through the name that touches your heart and need, and he mentioned the verse, "Invoke Allah or invoke the Most Merciful," which combines both majesty and beauty; Allah is the name that encompasses all the names of Allah, it includes awe, greatness, and majesty, and Al-Rahman is the name that signifies beauty, it includes mercy, kindness, generosity, and love. The benefactor lives between the glorification of Allah and His love, between greatness and love, between O Possessor of Majesty and Honor.
