Khaberni - The Jordanian Company for the Development of Cities and Facilities held a dialogue session today, Monday, regarding the Amra City project, with the participation of a group of experts, dedicated to discussing the water, energy, and environmental sectors.
The participants discussed in the energy sector; energy sources and their uses, their relationship with the architectural design of buildings, and the impact of technological advancement on energy production and consumption methods.
In the water sector, opportunities for water reuse were presented, the potential benefits of water harvesting and rain collection, and the role of modern technologies in rationalizing water consumption and reducing loss.
In the environmental sector, discussions covered the environmental standards for the city, mechanisms to reduce carbon emissions, and conservation of biodiversity, in addition to investment opportunities in recycling technologies.
The participants emphasized the importance of integration between the water, energy, and environmental sectors when planning new cities, as this plays a fundamental role in enhancing the efficiency of natural resource use and achieving long-term sustainability.
These sessions continue the approach of dialogue workshops and reflect the company's commitment to involving experts and specialists in all project phases, to benefit from their expertise in developing optimal models for sustainable urban development, and in opening promising investment opportunities.
Specialized dialogue sessions were held at the Prime Minister's office last January, which included 150 experts; to discuss the development of the Amra City project, covering topics: urban development and growth, economic impact and future technology, water and energy and the environment, and culture, education, sports, health, and mobility.
