Khaberni - The Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship announced a new update to the "Sanad" app including a package of services and digital improvements aimed at expanding the range of benefits from the app and facilitating the completion of government transactions electronically, as part of the government's ongoing efforts to enhance digital transformation, in alignment with the directives of His Highness Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II, the Crown Prince, and his oversight of the National Council for Future Technology aimed at accelerating the adoption of digital solutions and improving government services.
The update includes the availability of Amman Municipality roofing fee payment for Jordanians and non-Jordanians through the app, in addition to adding vehicle license and traffic violation services for non-Jordanians, contributing to expanding the base of beneficiaries from digital government services and enabling them to complete transactions easily and from anywhere.
Additionally, the vehicle license has become available and displayed directly to non-Jordanians and residents on the app's homepage (Home Page), allowing the user to view it immediately upon opening the "Sanad" app, facilitating faster access and enhancing user experience.
The update also includes the ability to change phone numbers within the app using personal identity, through electronic verification (eKYC), which relies on scanning the identity card and verifying the user's identity by taking a facial photograph, allowing password reset and account recovery with secure digital steps without needing to visit any entity.
As part of improving user experience, modifications have been introduced to the family book services provided by the Civil Status and Passports Department.
The "Sanad" app has also become available for download via the Huawei AppGallery, alongside the App Store and Google Play, with support for use on tablet and iPad devices, providing a more flexible and easy user experience for various user groups.
The ministry emphasized that these updates are part of its ongoing plans to develop the "Sanad" app and enhance the digital identity ecosystem in the kingdom, with the number of digital identity activations through the app exceeding 2.38 million users by the end of February, aligning with the economic update vision and enhancing the efficiency of digital government services, saving time and effort for citizens and residents.
