Khaberni - The Labor, Social Development, and Population Parliamentary Committee is holding a press conference on Monday afternoon to acquaint the public and media with its work plan for studying and discussing a draft amending law for the Social Security Law for the year 2026.
The committee emphasized that the conference is important to involve various concerned parties in discussing the draft law, which ensures the development of the social protection system and enhances the sustainability of the social security system to achieve justice and preserve the rights of subscribers and pensioners.
The committee chairman Andre Hawari clarified that the committee will launch an electronic platform to receive opinions, comments, and suggestions from subscribers, relevant entities, experts, and specialists, contributing to enriching the discussion about the draft law and reaching the best possible legislative formulations.
In turn, the Speaker of the House, Mazen Al-Qadi, confirmed that the committee will initiate a broad national dialogue about the draft law, including labor and professional unions, political parties, civil society institutions, economists, experts, private sector representatives, and retirees, alongside launching an electronic platform that allows citizens to submit their opinions, observations, and suggestions about the project.
He pointed out that this step aims to broaden community participation in drafting legislation and enhance transparency and trust in the social security system, considering it one of the main pillars of social protection in the Kingdom.
