Khaberni - Due to the complexities, the absence of information, and the uncertainty of the warring parties' intentions and how far they might go in this war, experts in political, military, and strategic analysis have been unable to predict the winner of this war.
But it is certain that the Arabs are the only losers whose loss was confirmed from the first day of the war.
The warring parties are our enemies, even if the degree of enmity and danger varies, because our first, most dangerous, and most significant enemy is the Zionist entity.
One month ago, specifically on 2026/1/28, I wrote an article titled "The War is Coming... Who are its Fuel... and Where is its Battlefield". I predicted exactly a month before the war — since it started on 2026/2/28 — that all Arabs, specifically the Arabs of Asia, would be its fuel and its battlefield. And today, I confirm that they are also the losers.
We, as Arabs, are not a party in this war. Even though we have no stake in it as Arabs, we were forcibly, coercively, and harshly dragged into it.
The war began with a preemptive attack by the entity and the supporting Western countries such as the United States (controlled by the entity, and engaged in implementing all its plans), along with France. The initial reaction was a sweeping and violent Iranian attack using all types of missiles, including ballistic and others, along with drone aircrafts, bombing seven Arab countries on the first day, and after a few days, it became nine Arab countries which are (Jordan, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, then Iraq and Oman were added to the list).
We, as Arabs, have suffered economically whether in exporting oil or gas, or many other products. Our economies also suffered due to problems in importing and exporting, such as increased shipping costs, and increased marine insurance costs, as the region was classified as a "War Zone" which raised the prices of oil, gas, and all imported goods. If the war continues, supply chains for goods of various kinds will be disrupted.
Air travel was disrupted, tourism was disrupted, and tourist bookings in Jordan, for example, were cancelled, where we hoped that tourism would flourish this year after difficulties and a significant decline in tourism revenues since the COVID-19 pandemic, which caused severe damage to tourist establishments as dozens of hotels were closed, and unemployment increased among all workers in the tourism industry in general.
The Iranian bombardment resulted in a number of deaths and injuries, damage to oil facilities, and service facilities like airports, hotels, residential buildings, and ports were bombed. Panic spread among the people, and those who could, left the region.
However, Iran sent a contradictory message in its words reflecting warmth, care, and brotherhood with the Arabs, but between the lines, I considered it disdain, belittling, and undermining us as Arabs. How can Iran describe Arabs as brothers and neighbors and say it does not consider us enemies, yet continue bombing us, and infringe upon the dignity and prestige of our countries?
The Iranian president, Masoud Bizeshkian, stated: "I apologize to the neighboring Arab countries that Iran has targeted since the beginning of the American-Israeli war on February 28. I pledge not to target them unless Iran is attacked from their territories." Yet, Iran continued to bomb those Arab countries, including Jordan, although no attack occurred from Jordanian territory.
It would have been wiser for Iran to focus its bombing on American battleships and bombard them with massive missile and drone attacks, making defense impossible, causing significant damage, which could then force America to plead for a stop to the war. Instead, Iran began its war on Arab countries it described as brothers. It means ("Your brother, and damn your father!?).
Although the wheels of war are still turning, and the conflict between the belligerents has not been settled. And even though the Arabs are not a party in this war, it is confirmed that they are the ones who have lost this war, from the first day, although they did not partake in it.
I will explain to the dear readers why we, as Arabs, are the losers in this war:—
1 )) The sovereignty of all Arab countries in Asia was violated.
2 )) We lost our dignity.
3 )) Our airspace was violated.
4 )) Many of our facilities were destroyed.
5 )) Our battlefields were not respected.
6 )) Our children and women were terrified.
7 )) Our countries were attacked and assaulted.
8 )) Some blood was shed in our countries.
9 )) Iran did not respect us as neighbors.
10 )) America did not defend us, nor cared about what befell us, and as it was said instead of protecting its bases, it asked us to protect them, and the presence of its bases gave Iran the excuse to attack us.
11 )) The export of our products of all kinds such as oil, gas, and others was disrupted.
12 )) Our imports were disrupted especially as we fully depend on importing ((from our neglect as Arabs)).
13 )) Shipping and energy prices increased.
14 )) Businesses in some countries were disrupted and confounded.
15 )) Supply chains were disrupted.
16 )) The armies and security devices were mobilized.
17 )) Air travel was stopped.
18 )) Tourism was devastated for a season or more.
19 )) The war allowed the Mossad to infiltrate and undertake hostile operations in some Arab countries.
It is strange that the Arabs did not wage war nor participate in it, yet they are the biggest and first losers, even before the war between their three enemies ends. The Arabs lost the war because all the calamities and misfortunes of the war hit them even though they were not a party to it.
Has it happened in the history of mankind that people did not enter a war and yet lost it, how!?
Oh, the Arabs in internal strife. And I conclude with a line of poetry by the giant poet, Nizar Qabbani, where he says:—
Why does Arabism appear like a widow / Are there no joys in the history books?
