My name is Hasan An Iraqi drama that evokes issues from the 1980s

Khaberni - The Iraqi series "My name is Hasan", which has been airing since the arrival of Ramadan, has received wide acclaim from those interested in the artistic field and followers, who praised the story of the work that dealt with sensitive and striking social issues, experienced by Iraqis in the eighties of the last century.

From the beginning to the end after 15 episodes, the series captured attention with details and events that carried a great deal of pain and suffering and raised questions about fate and justice, ending heavily and sadly on a noose reached by two young men representing different political directions.

Many considered the series "My name is Hasan" one of the most distinguished works presented in the Ramadan season, attracting viewers to follow it for presenting a story about an important stage in the lives of Iraqis, in addition to containing elements of strength represented in the plot of the story, direction, and acting.

In striking terms, the media personality and presenter Rifif Al-Hafiz praised the series, saying in a post on her Facebook page: "This work succeeded in shedding light on a painful stage in the memory of Iraqis, presenting a story that touches people's feelings and reopens pages of history that cannot be forgotten."

She added: "In every Ramadan season, dozens of drama works are shown, but only a few can captivate the viewer and make them live the details moment by moment. This is what the Iraqi series My name is Hasan did, which reintroduced a sensitive period in the history of Iraq, namely the eighties and the accompanying suffering endured by Iraqi citizens under the rule of the Arab Socialist Ba'ath Party and the former regime."

The writer Zulfiqar Al-Amidi wrote on Facebook: "My name is Hasan is a work that amazes you from the first scene to the last scene with the plot of the idea and its presentation to everyone in every dialogue, you listen to a sophisticated dialogue all of which affected the oppressed people in the time of the damned destroyer."

Al-Amidi also touched on the details of accomplishing the work, saying: "I must not forget that this wonderful work has a remarkable directorial and photographic fingerprint, starting from the decor and old houses, notably the brilliant director Samer Hikmat with his renewed creativity showing such beauty."

"My name is Hasan" belongs to the romantic social drama genre, and it discusses the impact of politics in that era on social life and human relationships.

The events of the series, which is based on true events from the early eighties, revolve around the challenges and harsh conditions suffered by Iraqis, reflecting the political tension of the time on the details of their lives and daily lives.

The work included a romantic story that brought together the protagonist, Hasan, with a young woman named Fatima, as the events unfolded touching the precise realistic details of social relationships and human connections.

The makers of the series were careful to recreate the atmosphere of the eighties with high accuracy, through costumes, filming locations, and the general appearance of the social environment to create an atmosphere similar to that of the eighties.

The series is written by Hamed Al-Maliki, directed by Samer Hikmat, and stars a constellation of pioneering and young artists, including: "Amir Ihsan, Samia Al-Rahmani, Mahmoud Abu Al-Abbas, Zahra Badan, Diaa Al-Din Sami, Tahsin Dahhas, Zaid Al-Maliki", and others.
