Arab American University Center for Innovation Entrepreneurship and Training holds a Trainer Training Course TOT certificate

Khaberni  - In line with the vision of the Arab American University to enhance digital innovation and develop future skills under the patronage of Professor Dr. Mohammad Al-Widian, president of the university, the Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Creativity Center at the university organized a graduation ceremony for the Training of Trainers (TOT) course in electronic game development using Unity Engine, along with a workshop for Training of Trainers using Minecraft Education platform, in partnership with the Jordan Game Lab.

These training programs were held at the Jordan Game Lab as part of the efforts by the Arab American University's Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Creativity Center to enhance the capabilities of the teaching staff and enable them to utilize the latest digital tools and platforms in designing and developing educational and electronic games, aligning with the requirements of the digital transformation and contributing to the development of creative economy skills among youth. The game development course using Unity covered various practical aspects, including game design fundamentals, programming, interactive environment creation, plus project development and deployment strategies, while the Minecraft Education workshop focused on employing digital games in educational processes and designing interactive educational content that fosters creative thinking and problem-solving skills among students.

At the end of the event, Professor Dr. Hussam Al-Hamd, Vice-President of the university for Planning and Quality Assurance, delegated by the university president Professor Dr. Mohammad Al-Widian, presented certificates to participants in the presence of Dr. Rami Suhweil, Dean of the College of Information Technology, and Dr. Samer Ayaserah, director of the Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Creativity Center. Al-Hamd emphasized the importance of these special programs in developing digital skills and promoting an innovative environment within the university, supporting its directions in building an educational system based on creativity and technology, and aligning with job market requirements. He noted that these programs are implemented following a previously signed agreement between the Arab American University and the Jordan Game Lab, which has advanced expertise in digital game development and educational technology.

Dr. Ayaserah highlighted the commitment of the Arab American University's Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Creativity Center to implementing specialized training programs that keep up with the rapid developments in technology and digital gaming fields, reaffirmed the center's continuous launching of unique initiatives that help build the capacities of trainers and students, and enhance national partnerships supporting the digital gaming sector and educational technology.

It should be noted that the Jordan Game Lab is an initiative launched in 2011 under the directives of His Majesty King Abdullah II ibn Al-Hussein, implemented by King Abdullah II Fund for Development with the aim to support and develop the electronic game industry in Jordan and to enhance awareness of its importance among the youth. Additionally, it aims at developing their skills in designing and developing digital games. The lab also provides an incubating environment for developers and startups in this field, through offering specialized training programs, organizing initiatives, competitions, and networking programs with local and global companies, contributing to the development of the fast-growing, promising electronic game sector in Jordan.
