Khaberni - Former Kuwaiti Qadsia Club player Fahd Abdulaziz Al Majed (33 years old) passed away while performing his duties as an officer enrolled in the General Department of Land Border Security in Kuwait, due to the ongoing war in the region following the American-Israeli attack on Iran last Saturday.
The American-Israeli war on Iran entered its ninth day, affecting the Arab Gulf states including Kuwait, where the former Qadsia club player, an officer in the General Department of Land Border Security, fell today, Sunday. The Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior mourned in an official statement: "Martyrs of duty, Colonel Abdullah Imad Al Sharah and Major Fahd Abdulaziz Al Majed from the members of the General Department of Land Border Security, who were martyred while performing their national duty in the framework of the security tasks assigned to the Ministry of Interior".
The Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior added in its official statement on Sunday: "The ministry expresses deep sorrow and grief for this affliction, confirming that its sons in the security forces continue to perform their duties with all courage and dedication in protecting the nation and maintaining its security and stability", bringing sadness to both the sports and military community in Kuwait following the news of the death of the former player Fahd Abdulaziz Al Majed, as his colleagues and fans of the clubs remember his career that combined representing clubs and serving the nation.
Al Majed began his football career in Kuwait with Qadsia Club, then Kazma, and later represented Salmiya Club, where he carried the leadership band for several seasons. Al Majed ended his career on the fields a few months ago, announcing his retirement in a match between Salmiya and Arabi clubs, before continuing his service in the military as an officer until his death while performing his duties during the current war in the Middle East.
