Proposal for Smart Side Parking Lots in the Streets of Amman during June

Khaberni - The Greater Amman Municipality is implementing 4 designated sites for parking buildings (Off Street) at various locations in the capital, in addition to offering 6 investment opportunities for new sites for the same purpose as part of the smart parking project.

The Municipality also plans to tender the construction of side street parking (On Street) in the coming June, as these projects are part of the tender that was issued for the Amman Smart City Center project as part of the digital transformation efforts and the development of traffic management.

The Municipality aims to increase the number of active cameras for smart traffic and violations management from 300 cameras currently to 2500 cameras by mid-2026, then to 3100 cameras by mid-2027, within an integrated system aiming for a total of 5900 cameras for managing traffic and intelligent violations through a comprehensive digital platform by 2027.

• 2025 Performance indicators

The Municipality published the performance indicators for 2025, where in the public works sector, the total length of paved roads in Amman reached 6522 kilometers, while the total area of newly executed roads in 2025 amounted to 1.3 million square meters.

The Municipality executed 15,000 meters of new rainwater drainage lines in 2025, while the total area of paving works executed that year was 3.8 million square meters.

The Municipality also completed 60,000 square meters of sidewalks and curbs in 2025, in addition to constructing and maintaining 150 steps, while the volume of completed retaining walls amounted to 3846 thousand cubic meters.


The emergency response time recorded was 25 minutes, with a 37.5% improvement compared to 2024.


In the health and agricultural affairs sector, the number of inspections and rounds conducted by health and professional teams was 92,000, while the number of cases rectifying the status for health and professional warnings reached 28,000 in 2025.

The percentage increase in rectifying the status for health and professional warnings was 109% compared to 2024.

The volume of horticultural products managed through the central market was 1.4 million tons in 2025, an increase of 8% compared to 2024, with the export growth rate of horticultural products outside the kingdom at 35% compared to 2024.

The data indicated that the exemption percentage for the Jordanian farmer from export fees is 75%.

Regarding green spaces in the capital, they make up 2.4% of the area of Amman, while the per capita share of green spaces is 4.3 square meters, which is about 48% of the minimum global limit of 9 square meters per individual according to the World Health Organization.

The total amount of green spaces in the city of Amman reached 19,000 dunums, while the areas that were cultivated in 2025 totaled 1500 dunums, with an increase in green spaces by 8.7% compared to 2024.
