Khaberni - Media reports revealed the details of the recent negotiations between the Kuwait Football Association and the Moroccan coach Hussein Ammouta for taking leadership of "Al-Azraq" in the next phase.
Le360 Sport account said on X: "Ahmed Al-Yousef, president of the Kuwait Football Association, disclosed that the Moroccan Hussein Ammouta was the first choice to lead the Kuwait national team, but negotiations stopped quickly."
He added: "The reason for the halt in negotiations was due to financial demands described by the association as 'large and unrealistic'."
He continued: "Ammouta, known for his achievements with Wydad Athletic Club and Al Sadd, and as the runner-up of the 2023 Asian Cup with the Jordanian football team, was the prime candidate to restore the luster of Kuwaiti football."
