Temporary cessation of fuel distribution in Tehran after American strikes on oil sites

Khaberni - The distribution of fuel in Tehran was "temporarily" halted, according to an Iranian official on Sunday after American and Israeli raids targeted oil warehouses in the capital and its surroundings.

The official Iranian news agency "IRNA" quoted the Governor of Tehran, Mohammad Sadegh Motamedian, saying, "Due to the damage to the fuel supply network, the distribution has temporarily stopped."

American and Israeli raids during the past night targeted four oil warehouses and a logistics site used for transporting oil products in Tehran and its surroundings, according to an Iranian official on Sunday.

The General Manager of the National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Company, Karamat Weis Karami, told official television that Israeli and American aviation targeted four oil warehouses and a center for transporting oil products in central Tehran and Alborz.

He reported that four employees of the company were killed, including two drivers, and that the five facilities were "damaged" and that the "fire is under control."

Israel and the United States have been launching airstrikes on Iran since Saturday, February 28, which led to the death of Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, and since then Tehran has retaliated by striking Israel and countries in the region with missiles and drones.

Iran implemented a naval blockade on the transit of ships in the Strait of Hormuz and targeted oil tankers attempting to pass through it.

On the first Sunday of March, Hezbollah fired several missiles from Lebanon targeting northern Israel, in response to the assassination of Khamenei, drawing Lebanon into an open war with Israel, where the latter carried out destructive raids on southern Lebanon and the southern suburbs of Beirut.
