Khaberni - Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ayman Al-Safadi, participates on Sunday, in the Arab League Council meeting at the ministerial level in its extraordinary session, via video conferencing, to discuss the Iranian assaults on Arab countries.
The Arab League Council, today, holds a meeting at the level of foreign ministers in an extraordinary session via video conferencing, to discuss the blatant Iranian assaults, requested by Jordan and other Arab countries.
The ministerial meeting is based on requests from Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, and Egypt to discuss the Iranian attacks on Arab countries in violation of international laws, treaties, and the principles of good neighborliness.
The Secretary-General of the Arab League, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, described the Iranian attacks against Arab countries as "dangerous."
Aboul Gheit stated that the attacks carried out by Iran are completely condemned and are not only a blatant violation of international law and the United Nations Charter but are also an assault on the principles of good neighborliness.
Aboul Gheit warned that the Iranian attacks "create an unprecedented state of hostility between Iran and its Arab neighbors, and cause a deep rift between Iran and these neighbors, which will leave a deep impact on the future of the days."
He mentioned that "no one underestimates the horrors of the war that Iran is facing, but at the same time, there is no justification that can be considered acceptable for it targeting neighboring Arab countries with the aim of dragging them into a war that is not their war, especially since a number of Arab countries have worked tirelessly to avoid this disastrous war."
