Khaberni - The Iranian Revolutionary Guard announced on Saturday evening the targeting of the Haifa oil refinery in Israel, in response to a similar Israeli attack that targeted an oil refinery in the capital, Tehran.
The Revolutionary Guard stated in a statement: “We hit the Haifa refinery with Khaibar Shekan missiles in response to the targeting of the Tehran refinery”.
The Fars News Agency mentioned that Israel and the United States conducted airstrikes on areas in Tehran that contain oil storage facilities.
Israeli journalist Gili Cohen said: “Unprecedented documentation from Tehran.. For the first time, Israel attacks oil refining facilities”.
The Israeli Broadcasting Authority clarified that “after widespread missile attacks from Iran, the Israeli Air Force began attacking oil tanks”, noting that “Israel is moving to new targets to strike at the regime's nerve”.
