Khaberni - Iraqi security sources reported the targeting of the U.S. Embassy in the Iraqi capital Baghdad.
The sources said that Katyusha rockets targeted the embassy, without immediate information on the extent of the damage or casualties.
Since the outbreak of the war waged by the United States and Israel against Iran about a week ago, a number of drones have been intercepted near Baghdad International Airport.
The air defenses in Erbil also intercepted drones in the city's airspace, which has been hosting the international coalition forces against "ISIS" since 2014 to combat armed groups, in addition to a large American consulate in the city.
