Khaberni - Spanish press reports have revealed that the Egyptian Hamza Abdelkarim, a youth team player at Barcelona, has obtained a work permit enabling him to participate with the team.
Hamza Abdelkarim's participation with Barcelona was delayed due to bureaucratic issues related to the work permit, a common procedure for players joining from outside the European Union, which kept the player away from the fields for several weeks despite participating in the training sessions.
"Mundo Deportivo" newspaper reported that Barcelona's plan involves the Egyptian striker playing with the youth team "Juvenil A" away from the limelight and without pressure.
It seems unlikely that Abdelkarim will play with Barcelona's reserve team, and his first appearance might be in the final of the Catalonia Cup, the date of which has not yet been determined.
It should be noted that Barcelona sent an official notification to the Egyptian Football Association requesting the return of Hamza Abdelkarim, a former player for the youth team of Al Ahly, to the Catalan club to complete the work permit procedures.
Abdelkarim joined the ranks of Barcelona coming from Al Ahly of Egypt on a loan system with an option to buy.
