Khaberni - Yasmin Abdelaziz responded to Mai Omar’s reproach after the controversy surrounding the ranking of the most-watched series on the Shahid platform.
Yasmin Abdelaziz wrote on her Instagram account a message in which she commented on the incident, initially offering her condolences to Mai Omar for the death of her father, expressing her surprise at the reproach directed at her, affirming that she had not received any questions or messages from Mai Omar or her husband, Mohamed Sami, during her illness when she was in the hospital in a critical condition, and also after the death of her father last year.
She added that director Mohamed Sami was the one who initiated the discussion about the viewership ranking through a post on the "Story" feature, clarifying that she responded to the matter in the same spirit.
Mai Omar had previously commented on a post by Yasmin Abdelaziz, stating that she wished the first reference to her was through a "tag" in a condolence post about her father’s death, rather than in a post related to the ranking of the most-watched series.
