With Suicide Drones The Revolutionary Guards Strike an American Oil Tanker in the Gulf

Khaberni - The Iranian Revolutionary Guards said that its naval forces hit an American oil tanker flying the flag of the Marshall Islands in the Gulf waters, using a suicide drone.

The Guards stated in a statement today, Saturday, on its website that an oil tanker bearing the commercial name "Louis B," flying the flag of the Marshall Islands, is one of the United States assets.

The Iranian news agency reported that the Revolutionary Guards targeted another oil tanker that ignored instructions in the Strait of Hormuz, according to the agency's description.

The agency added that an oil tanker, bearing the commercial name "Prima", was targeted by a drone this morning, Saturday, following its repeated ignoring of the warnings from the naval forces of the Revolutionary Guards regarding the transit ban laws and the danger of the situation in the Strait of Hormuz.

The agency emphasized that the Strait of Hormuz has been under the control of the Revolutionary Guards for the eighth consecutive day, in response to the Israeli-American military attacks and the assassination of the Supreme Iranian Leader Ali Khamenei, stating that "oil tankers and commercial ships belonging to hostile countries and their allies will not be allowed to pass through this strait."

The Strait of Hormuz represents a major crossing point among the most vital navigational routes in the world, and is one of the main arteries of international trade, with about 11% of global trade volume passing through it, and more than 20 million barrels of oil passing through it daily.

The Iranian Revolutionary Guards announced the closure of the strait on February 28, following an Israeli-American attack that resulted in the assassination of Khamenei, after which American President Donald Trump responded by accompanying American naval forces to oil tankers when necessary.
