Khaberni - The head of the Union of Parties and Parliamentary Reform Bloc, MP Captain Zuhair Mohammed Al-Khashman, affirmed that what the Jordanian Armed Forces revealed of numbers and events concerning the interception of missiles and drones that targeted the kingdom's skies during the past days represents a clear proof of the high readiness and professionalism of the Arab Army and the Royal Jordanian Air Force in protecting the sovereignty of the nation and the security of its citizens.
Al-Khashman said that Jordan today faces the repercussions of a highly complex regional stage, where military conflicts intertwine with political calculations, yet the Jordanian state has once again proven its ability to protect its national security and deal decisively with any threat targeting its territories or affecting its sovereignty.
He added:
"Jordan is not a war zone for anyone, and will not be a corridor for missiles nor a field for regional score-settling. The sovereignty of Jordan is a red line, and the Arab Army has proven once again that it is the shield protecting the nation and both its skies and land together."
Al-Khashman noted that the success of the Jordanian air defenses in intercepting the vast majority of missiles and drones confirms the level of operational and technical competence the Jordanian Armed Forces have reached, pointing out that what took place was not just a technical military handling, but a clear message that the security of Jordan is not up for testing or negotiation.
He said:
"When dozens of missiles and drones are fired towards the skies of Jordan and are handled with this efficiency, it not only reflects the strength of the defensive systems but also reflects the doctrine of an army that knows protecting the homeland is not only a military task but also a national and historical duty."
Al-Khashman confirmed that the Hashemite leadership, under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II, is managing this portfolio with high wisdom and responsibility, combining firmness in protecting Jordanian sovereignty, and continuous diplomatic work to keep the region from further escalation.
He added:
"Jordan, under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II, always stands as a state that defends its security without being drawn into chaos, and works for stability without accepting violations of its sovereignty. This equation is the secret of the Jordanian state’s strength."
He also appreciated the efforts of the security agencies, the General Security Directorate, and the Civil Defense in dealing with the repercussions of falling shrapnel and reports from various provinces of the kingdom, praising the quick response and high readiness in protecting the citizens.
Al-Khashman called for strengthening the domestic front during this sensitive stage, rallying around the state institutions and the armed forces and security services, and not being swayed by rumors or unreliable information.
He said in concluding his statement:
"In difficult moments, the strength of states is measured by the solidity of their institutions and the unity of their people. Jordan has been and will remain a strong state with its army, leadership, and people. Anyone who thinks Jordan's skies can be tested or breached will discover that this nation has men who will not allow that."
