Khaberni - Colonel Amer Sartawi, the spokesman for the Public Security Directorate, confirmed on Saturday that the directorate monitors media and digital content to track, debunk, and deal with rumors and misleading news.
He added during a press briefing, where the armed forces and Public Security Directorate presented facts and figures about the consequences of war in the region, that the Public Security Directorate has prepared educational media products which included tips and preventive guidelines that contribute to protecting citizens and properties and raising awareness among the populace.
Sartawi mentioned that the directorate has elevated its readiness level to deal with current events in the region in addition to activating emergency plans.
