Khaberni - The Director of Military Media in the Jordanian Armed Forces, Brig. Gen. Mustafa Al-Hiyari, said that Jordan has activated military and defense cooperation agreements with several brotherly and friendly armies to provide air cover that enhances the protection of the kingdom’s skies.
Al-Hiyari added during a press briefing on the implications of the "Iran war" on the kingdom, that coordination is ongoing with the Jordanian Civil Aviation Authority to regulate air traffic and ensure the safety of the airspace.
Al-Hiyari confirmed that the armed forces had raised their readiness level before the outbreak of the war, with all formations and units placed on immediate alert, and support provided to the units deployed along the border fronts, enhancing the border guard units with necessary equipment and weapons for dealing with exceptional circumstances. Air defense systems were activated according to the ranges provided by those systems, and air surveillance was intensified through aircraft and radars.
