Khaberni - The Director of Military Media in the Jordanian Armed Forces, Brigadier General Mustafa Al-Hiyari, stated that the Jordanian air defenses dealt with 119 missiles and drones during the past period, targeting vital facilities inside Jordan.
Al-Hiyari explained that the Royal Jordanian Air Force was able to intercept and shoot down 108 missiles and drones, while the air defenses failed to intercept 11 missiles and drones.
He added, on Saturday, during a press briefing in which the Jordanian Armed Forces and the General Security Directorate presented facts and figures related to the repercussions of the Iranian war on the Kingdom, that the armed forces took a series of measures to address the developments, which included supporting the units deployed on the borders and enhancing the border guard units, in addition to operating air defense systems according to the ranges provided by those systems.
He also mentioned that the armed forces also activated military cooperation agreements, enhancing readiness and capacity to deal with any potential developments.
