Increase in the Value of Certificates of Origin Issued by Amman Chamber of Commerce in Two Months

Khaberni - The value of the certificates of origin issued by the Amman Chamber of Commerce for exporting goods and merchandise to Arab and foreign countries increased by 20.6% during the past two months of this year, compared to the same period of 2025.
According to statistical data from the chamber, the value of certificates of origin issued by Amman Commerce in the past two months reached about 273 million dinars, compared to 226 million dinars for the same period last year.
In contrast, the number of certificates of origin issued by the chamber for the same period was 4480 certificates, compared to 4528 certificates in the same period last year, with a slight decrease of 1.1%.
The statistical data showed that Iraq topped the list of countries importing in terms of the value of certificates of origin issued by Amman Commerce during the same period with a value of 103 million dinars, and 437 certificates, followed by Switzerland with 62 million dinars and 13 certificates.
After that, Syria came in third place with a value of about 15 million dinars and 988 certificates, then Egypt with a value of 13 million dinars and 128 certificates, and the United Arab Emirates with a value of 12.9 million dinars and 420 certificates.
As for the type of products, the value of exports in the same period from foreign products (goods of foreign origin) amounted to 105 million dinars, industrial 36 million dinars, Arab (goods of Arab origin) 35 million dinars, agricultural 20 million dinars, and the rest went to other products.
It is noted that a certificate of origin is a document used in international trade to authenticate that the goods in a particular shipment were produced, manufactured, or processed in a specific country and are used by customs to determine the eligibility of goods for determining their tariff and to verify the country of origin of those goods.
It is mentioned that the Amman Chamber of Commerce issues certificates of origin for Jordanian agricultural and animal products, raw natural resources, and foreign goods that are re-exported, and for foreign goods purchased from the local market under specified conditions.
Certificates of origin are also issued for Jordanian industrial products based on the request of the exporter, based on the original factory invoice certified by an industrial chamber and an original and certified certificate of origin issued by an industrial chamber, proving that the goods are of Jordanian origin, based on the provisions of Article (29) of the Jordan Chamber of Commerce System No. (45) of 2009 and the instructions for issuing certificates of origin for the year 2013.
