Reports Israel Carried Out a Landing Operation in Lebanon Searching for the Remains of the Missing Pilot

Khaberni - Reports published by pages close to Lebanese Hezbollah stated that the Israeli army carried out a landing operation at dawn on Saturday in Nabi Sheet in Beqaa Governorate, eastern Lebanon, searching for the remains of the missing pilot Ron Arad.

The same sources mentioned that the prevailing narrative indicates that Israeli army soldiers tried to reach "Al-Shakr Cemetery" searching for the remains of the missing pilot.

It is speculated that the search for the pilot's body could be the reason that led the Mossad a few months ago to abduct the retired captain in the public security, Ahmed Shakr, in order to obtain information about his fate.

Ron Arad, an Israeli pilot born in 1958, was kidnapped in Lebanon in 1986 while on a mission to target militants there, and was captured by the Amal movement and then Hezbollah, after which he disappeared.

Arad was tasked on October 16, 1986, with a mission targeting a building in the city of Sidon in Lebanon.

The narratives about him have varied greatly, and Israel conducted several investigations to find him, most of which reached similar conclusions related to his death, but they differed on the date of death.
Moreover, media outlets related to Hezbollah clarified that Hezbollah forces confronted the Israeli landing and that the Israeli force fell into an ambush by the resistance.

Sources noted that Israeli helicopters carried out intense combing immediately after the forces fell into the ambush in Nabi Sheet without success.

Lebanese media reports indicated that the intense raids carried out by the Israeli army today on the town of Nabi Sheet were indicative of a security operation.

Hezbollah sources also spoke about the capture of an Israeli soldier during the repelling of the landing in Nabi Sheet.

In a related context, the Lebanese Hezbollah posted a tweet on its social media pages accompanied by a picture with a Quranic verse from Surah Al-Ahzab written on it, which says: "And He cast terror into their hearts: some ye slew, and some ye made captives," hinting at the capture of an Israeli soldier.
