Khaberni - Members of the Assembly of Experts on Leadership completed the written and sealed voting to choose the new leader of the Islamic Revolution a few hours ago, with media sources expecting the results to be announced in the coming hours.
According to information circulated in the Iranian media, the voting process, both written and sealed, by the members of the Assembly of Experts on Leadership, concluded a few hours ago, and it is expected that the elected member by the council as the leader of the Islamic Revolution in Iran will be announced in the coming hours.
It should be noted that due to the bombing of the office of the Assembly of Experts on Leadership in Holy Qom and the old building of the legislative council in Pasteur area, Tehran, where the council sessions are held, it was not possible to hold a physical meeting of the council members during the past few days, therefore the council session and the voting for choosing the leader were conducted through virtual means.
Accordingly, to avoid any potential doubts in the future and to document the votes of the council for historic record purposes, the votes of council members were collected in writing and sealed over the past few days.
