US Department of Justice Releases Documents Involving Accusations Against Trump in Epstein Case

Khaberni  - The U.S. Department of Justice published documents issued by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) that include the interrogation records of a woman in 2019, who levied accusations against President Donald Trump, in the context of the case involving the late American billionaire Jeffrey Epstein, who was convicted of sexual crimes and accused of trafficking minors.

The woman mentioned confirmed that she was a "victim of sexual assaults" by Trump, the real estate magnate at the time, during the 1980s.

The Department of Justice clarified in a statement released on social media that the summary of these interrogations was not initially published among the millions of pages related to this case which were revealed last January, as it was considered a repetition of other documents.

Last week, the leader of the Democratic opposition majority in the Senate, Chuck Schumer, accused the Trump administration of conducting a "massive cover-up" of documents from Epstein's file, convicted of sexual assault crimes, warning the Department of Justice against destroying evidence.

According to the documents published yesterday, Thursday, the FBI interrogated the plaintiff four times between July and October 2019, during Trump’s first presidential term.

Statements and Details

During these interrogations, the woman, whose identity was redacted in the published documents, made statements indicating that she was sexually assaulted by Epstein.

During the second interrogation by federal investigators, she claimed that Epstein took her to New York or New Jersey, where he introduced her to Trump when she was between the ages of 13 and 15.

She stated, according to the interrogation record, that Trump assaulted her during that encounter, but she refused to provide more details during the fourth interrogation in October 2019 about how Trump treated her, according to the interrogation summary.

Her statements indicate that the incident with Trump took place in the early or mid-1980s, a period during which it seems Epstein and Trump were not in contact.

Trump had been close to Epstein for a period but has always denied being aware of his criminal behavior, asserting that he had severed ties with him long before he was legally pursued.
