At the request of Jordan and Arab countries, the Council of the League of Arab States, on Sunday, holds a meeting at the level of foreign ministers in an extraordinary session via video call, to discuss the blatant Iranian aggressions.
The ministerial meeting is held upon the request of Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, and Egypt, to discuss the Iranian attacks on Arab countries in violation of international laws and conventions and principles of good neighborliness.
The Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, described the Iranian attacks against Arab countries as "serious," saying: "The attacks being carried out by Iran are completely condemned, and are not only a blatant violation of international law and the United Nations Charter, but they are also an assault on the principles of good neighborliness."
Aboul Gheit warned that the Iranian attacks "create an unprecedented state of hostility between Iran and the neighboring Arab countries, and cause a deep rift between Iran and these neighbors, which will leave a profound impact on the future days."
He noted that "no one underestimates the horrors of the war facing Iran, but at the same time, there is no justification that can be acceptable for its actions targeting neighboring Arab countries with the aim of dragging them into a war that is not theirs, especially since a number of Arab countries have tirelessly worked to avoid this disastrous war."
