Hebrew media reported that the son of Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, Yedidya Smotrich, was wounded while participating in combat on the northern border with Lebanon.
The Walla website cited informed sources who said that Smotrich's son was serving among the Israeli forces deployed on the northern front when he was injured during the ongoing clashes near the border with Lebanon.
The sources did not reveal the nature of the injury or its severity, and a formal comment from the office of the Israeli Finance Minister has not yet been made regarding the incident.
For its part, the Israeli Army Radio stated that the son of Finance Minister Smotrich, who serves in the Givati Brigade, was injured along with other soldiers during military activity on the border with Lebanon.
