Khaberni - The Israeli Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir announced that the army is moving to a new phase of military operations inside Iran, targeting the military infrastructure of the Iranian regime.
Zamir explained in an official statement that the Israeli Air Force has so far carried out about 2500 airstrikes inside Iranian territory, using more than 6000 munitions, noting that the strikes focused on air defense systems and ballistic missile launch platforms that pose a direct threat to Israel.
The Chief of Staff revealed that the army managed to destroy about 80% of the Iranian air defense systems, achieving significant air superiority over the skies of Iran, as well as neutralizing more than 60% of the ballistic missile launch platforms, which contributed to reducing the threat level on the Israeli home front.
Zamir affirmed that the first phase of the operation focused on achieving military surprise and air control, emphasizing that the army is now moving to a new phase targeting the military infrastructure of the Iranian regime, with operations continuing in the coming period.
Regarding the Lebanese front, Zamir said Hezbollah made a "strategic mistake" by entering the military confrontation against Israel. He confirmed that the Israeli army continues to carry out intensive strikes in southern Lebanon and deep into Lebanese territory, aiming to reduce the military capabilities of the party, with enhanced control over the northern borders and taking new field positions.
