Mustafa Kamel Comments on the Crisis between Haifa Wehbe and Sherine Abdel Wahab

Khaberni - Mustafa Kamel sparked widespread controversy with his latest statements regarding the Music Professions Syndicate's crisis with the Lebanese artist Haifa Wehbe, in addition to his comments on the accusations directed at the syndicate for failing to support the Egyptian artist Sherine Abdel Wahab, and the entry of the Egyptian Acting Professions Syndicate into the latter's crisis, instead of the shortcomings of the musical syndicate to which Sherine belongs.

Mustafa Kamel said in his statements to the "Kashf Hisab" program with the media personality Engy Hesham, that the crisis with Haifa Wehbe began after she refused to apologize to her manager, despite him being a member of the general assembly of the syndicate, explaining that the syndicate sent her official warnings and requested her presence for investigation, without initially resorting to the decision to delete or ban her from singing in Egypt, as he said.

He added that Haifa Wehbe contacted him through an intermediary friend after the deletion and ban decision was issued, and said that she requested to visit him at his home to discuss the crisis.

He pointed out that he informed her of the necessity to first come to the headquarters of the syndicate to resolve the problem through official channels, assuring at the same time that his home will remain open to her after coming to the premises of the Musicians Syndicate and resolving the crisis, as per his expression.

In another context, the head of the musicians commented on the criticisms that targeted the syndicate due to not supporting Sherine Abdel Wahab and providing the necessary support. He confirmed by saying, "Not everything known is said." He emphasized that Sherine's situation can only be intervened by herself or her family.

Mustafa Kamel clarified that the condition of Sherine Abdel Wahab is special and needs moral support, noting that he contacted one of her relatives, who told him that she is exhausted, sick, and not fit to communicate with anyone at that time, asking to suffice with praying for her.

In another aspect of his statements, Mustafa Kamel revealed his refusal of a bribe worth two and a half million Egyptian pounds in exchange for canceling a previous deletion decision issued against a singer, who refused to disclose his identity, explaining that the artist himself had a crisis with the syndicate and several complaints were issued against him.

He mentioned that he was not aware that two members of the syndicate board had signed the deletion decision of the same artist before he was surprised by the bribe offer made to him, which sparked his severe anger and led him to categorically reject the offer, with the intent to find out the reasons for signing the deletion decision by the two board members.
