The Houthi Shows Readiness to Militarily Support Iran Amid UN Warnings

Khaberni - The leader of the Ansar Allah group (Houthis), Abdul Malik al-Houthi, said on Thursday, that his group stands alongside Iran amidst the escalating military tension in the region, confirming that the forces of the group "are ready to move militarily if developments necessitate it." Al-Houthi, in a televised speech broadcasted by media associated with the group, stated that his position is "to stand by the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Iranian people," adding that "hands are on the trigger at any moment that developments necessitate."

Al-Houthi accused Israel of attempting to impose what he described as "the equation of violation" against the countries and peoples of the region, through an open war targeting those he called "the free people of the nation." He added that Israel "wants to keep its hand free to target any people or force in the region without any controls or restrictions," calling for dealing with what is happening as "an open war" amid the ongoing confrontation. Al-Houthi also accused the United States and Israel of trying to involve Arab regimes in a direct confrontation with Iran.

In his discussion about military developments, he stated that Iran's position is "strong officially and popularly," praising the role of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard and the Iranian Army in the ongoing confrontation, as well as lauding the operations of Hezbollah in Lebanon against Israel, considering them "a strong move that surprised its opponents," and affirming that Hezbollah is exercising its legitimate right to respond to Israeli aggressions on Lebanon.
