The international news agency Tasnim reported that the spokesperson for the Iranian Armed Forces announced that the American aircraft carrier Abraham Lincoln, which approached within 340 kilometers of Iran's maritime border in the Sea of Oman with the aim of controlling the Strait of Hormuz, was attacked by drones belonging to the Navy of the Revolutionary Guard.
He added that the carrier quickly withdrew along with its accompanying destroyers, and has since moved more than a thousand kilometers away from the attack area.
