Khaberni - Lebanese artist Noor will receive condolences for her late husband, Syrian businessman Yusuf Antaki, on Thursday, who passed away recently after a struggle with illness.
The condolences will take place in Saint Cyril Church in Korba, Heliopolis, starting at 7:30 PM, in the presence of family, friends, and various public and artistic figures.
Details of the death of Noor's husband
Syrian businessman Yusuf Antaki passed away last Monday, announced by his brother Paul Antaki through a post on his personal Facebook page.
Paul Antaki mourned his brother saying: "Two years after the passing of my dear sister, my younger brother followed, and after a long suffering he now rests in peace away from the pain."
He added that he was fifteen years his junior, loved him as if he were his son, pointing out his patience, attention to detail, and his generosity in assisting his colleagues at work made everyone appreciate and love him.
The deceased’s brother explained that Yusuf Antaki was married in his forties to Marianne, the artist known as Noor the Lebanese, describing her as a remarkable wife, and they were blessed with two children, Leo and Lydia.
He added that he was a devoted husband and a loving father, and was surrounded by a wide circle of friends who held him in high regard.
He also disclosed in another post the details of the condolences, clarifying that the family will receive condolences on Thursday, March 5th at Saint Cyril Church in New Cairo, with the receiving of mourners starting at exactly 7:30 PM inside the same church.
It is noted that Lebanese artist Noor married businessman Yusuf Antaki in 2009, and their marriage resulted in two children.
Lebanese artist Noor was born in the capital, Beirut, and studied in the literary section at the Antonine Nuns School before she joined the Faculty of Fine Arts where she studied painting, photography, and sculpture, graduating in 1995.
Noor began her artistic career through commercial advertisements before moving to the Egyptian cinema, where she made her first film appearance in "Short, T-shirt, and Cap" alongside actor Ahmed El Sakka in 2000.
She then participated in a number of well-known cinematic works such as "Friends or Business", "Awkal", and "Industrial Speed-Bump", along with several dramatic works including "Agent 1001" and "Tears of the Moon."
