Amr Khaled Verses for fortifying the self against the whispers of Satan and major inquiries in life Video

Khaberni - Islamic preacher Dr. Amr Khaled raises existential questions that concern many about creation and the universe in particular, and the answers from the Quran, which dispel doubts and suspicions raised by some.

The questions posed by Khaled in the fifteenth episode of his Ramadan program (Guide - A Journey with the Quran), revolve around the following eight questions:

First: "I fear that if I ask, they'll accuse me of blasphemy. Is it correct to ask about the existence of God? Or is this forbidden in religion?"
The meaning of the first verse revealed in the Quran, "Read in the name of your Lord Who created," is broader than just reading, as the Prophet, peace be upon him, was not literate, so it might mean: think deeply, read life as long as you are living it. The Quran is filled with questions, to encourage you to ask and understand: “They ask you about the moon... Say...,” “They ask you about fighting in the sacred months... Say...,” and “They ask you about menstruation... Say...”. However, Khaled emphasized the seriousness of posing the question; if you ask seriously from your heart, you will reach the truth with your mind and heart, but not by the mind alone.

Second: What is the evidence for the existence of our Lord?
It isn't logical that nothing produces something, "Were they created by nothing, or were they themselves the creators?". Those who say that the universe resulted from the Big Bang, even if conceding that, the Quran does not reject it, "Do not the disbelievers see that the heavens and the earth were joined together, then We parted them," meaning the heavens and the earth were once one thing, "and then We parted them," but if that happened, then where did the original matter they were made from come from?

Third: Why can’t the universe have been created by chance?
One day, the Imam Abu Hanifa, may God have mercy on him, was debating with people who denied the existence of God Almighty and claimed that the universe existed by chance. After a prolonged dialogue, he agreed to meet them the next day at the prince's to continue the debate, but he intentionally delayed. Upon his arrival, they asked him: "Why are you late?!! You claim that God exists and that you fear God, and that God will judge you. Where did all that talk go?!!".

Abu Hanifa said: "When I wanted to cross the river, I found no boat to carry me," they asked him: "Then how did you get to us?" He said: "Something amazing happened," they asked: "What is it?". By chance, a great wind blew, then by chance, a great lightning bolt from a cloud struck a tree beside me, splitting it in half accidentally!! Half of it fell on the land and the other half fell into the sea. Then, by chance, a piece of iron and a branch shot out from the tree, entering the iron piece and turning into an axe by chance, then this axe approached and began chopping the piece in the sea without any chopper; until it made a small boat by chance, then by chance two planks jumped from the boards, and by chance two branches jumped out of the branches, and each plate of this board stuck to a branch, then by chance one stuck on the right side of the boat and the other on the left by chance, and the boat approached me like this by chance.. He says then I came and rode in it until I arrived at you!!!
He said: “Now let’s discuss.. Did this universe exist by chance or not?!!
- Then they asked him: Are you sane or mad?!!
- He replied: "I am sane"
They said: A complete boat exists by chance?!!
- So he told them: Glory to God! You say that the heavens and the earth and the mountains and the seas and human beings and animals and the sun, moon, and stars all existed by chance and do not believe me that a single boat existed by chance!!.

Fourth: Could the universe have existed without a great power?
"Allah! There is no deity but He, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer. Neither drowsiness overtakes Him nor sleep. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who could intercede in His presence without His permission? He knows what is [presently] before them and what will be after them, and they encompass nothing of His knowledge except for what He wills. His kursi extends over the heavens and the earth, and their preservation tires Him not. And He is the Most High, the Most Great">

Fifth: Why can there not be more than one deity?
"Say, if there were deities other than Allah, they would both have been ruined. So glorified be Allah, the Lord of the Throne, above what they describ...
