Khaberni - Issued in the Official Gazette today, Thursday, laws "Amendment to the Electronic Transactions Law," "Amendment to the Notary Law," and amendment "to the Endowments and Islamic Affairs Law" after being endorsed by the Royal Will.
The amendment to the Electronic Transactions Law recognizes electronic information and the electronic record that meets the conditions as having the authenticity of written material.
Meanwhile, the amendment to the Notary Law enables the completion of transactions outside the kingdom electronically, granting them the same legal validity as paper-based transactions, while extending the geographic jurisdiction of the notary to include all provinces.
The Endowments Law, on the other hand, regulates provisions for investing movable and immovable endowment funds, issuing financing bonds, and matters of issuing fatwas, which have become jurisdiction of the General Department of Ifta according to the law, adding the Holy Quran program to the endowment programs and considering the funds of the Hajj fund as a valid endowment, in addition to developing the membership of the Endowments Council.
