AlSafadi discusses the serious escalation in the region with international counterparts

Khaberni - Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Al-Safadi received a telephone call on Thursday from Czech Republic's Foreign Minister Petr Matsinka, during which they discussed the serious escalation currently witnessed in the region, and its impact on both international and regional peace and security.

Al-Safadi and Matsinka discussed the prospects of ending the crisis, restoring calm, de-escalating tensions, and adopting dialogue as a means to resolve crises.

Matsinka condemned the Iranian attacks on the Kingdom and other Arab countries, affirming his solidarity with Jordan in facing these attacks.

The ministers also emphasized the importance of the friendship relations between the two countries.

Al-Safadi stressed the keenness to work with Matsinka, who took over his responsibilities as foreign minister last December, in order to enhance cooperation in various fields.

Al-Safadi congratulated Matsinka on assuming his new position.

Al-Safadi and Lithuania's Foreign Minister Kęstutis Budrius also discussed the prospects of overcoming the serious escalation currently witnessed in the region, and restoring calm there.

The ministers emphasized during a telephone call the importance of adopting diplomacy as a means to resolve crises, based on principles that ensure respect for the sovereignty, security, and stability of countries according to international law.

Budrius affirmed his country's solidarity with the Kingdom in facing the Iranian attacks on its territory. Both ministers condemned these attacks and the Iranian assaults on the Arab Gulf countries.

The ministers discussed ways to increase cooperation between the two friendly countries in various fields.
