Khaberni - The competent authorities at the Kuwait Ministry of Interior managed to arrest two individuals after monitoring them publishing video clips that included phrases and scenes mocking and belittling the Kuwaiti armed forces, and trying to undermine the efforts of the air defense system in performing its national duty.
It was confirmed that such behavior is unacceptable as it affects the dignity of the military institution. The concerned authorities initiated immediate actions, investigated the two individuals, and confronted them with the results of the search and investigation operations. They admitted to filming and publishing the aforementioned content, leading to their detention and legal actions necessary for their referral to the competent authority.
The competent authorities also managed to arrest another individual after monitoring his use of one of his social media accounts to speak in phrases that included insults and illegitimate use of social media in a way that could harm international relations, in addition to placing some pictures of leaders of classified terrorist organizations within his profile.
The Ministry of Interior confirmed that it had previously emphasized in its multiple statements the necessity to adhere to the laws and regulations governing the use of social media, and not to publish or circulate any content that could undermine military institutions or damage the state's interests and relations.
The ministry urged everyone to bear their national responsibilities, ensuring that the law will be applied strictly to anyone proven to have crossed the line, especially in light of the current circumstances the country and the region are going through.
