Khaberni - Major General Yousef Ahmad Al-Hunaity, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, visited the King Hussein Bin Ali Brigade Command today, Wednesday, and was received by the brigade commander.
Major General Al-Hunaity listened to a military briefing presented by the brigade commander, discussing the operational, training, and logistics progress, the level of combat readiness, in addition to future plans, duties, and tasks executed by the brigade, and the measures taken to improve performance and enhance efficiency, in line with the general command's directives for modernization and development.
The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff affirmed that combat readiness is a top priority given the rapidly evolving challenges in the region, emphasizing the importance of continuing to implement quality training programs that help hone skills and enhance capabilities to deal with various threats, both conventional and unconventional, efficiently and effectively.
Major General Al-Hunaity emphasized the necessity of maintaining the highest levels of discipline and professionalism, and working as one team, considering these as the fundamental pillars for the success of any operational mission, confirming that performance improvement and efficiency enhancement are a consistent approach adopted by the general command of the armed forces, which enhances its ability to execute duties under various conditions and times.
In a related context, Major General Al-Hunaity observed a field exercise, which included a demonstration on using unmanned aircraft in executing operational tasks and combating them within a simulated operational environment. Before the exercise, he listened to a briefing about its objectives and execution stages, and the operational scenarios planned, as well as the challenges imposed by the nature of modern threats, especially in the field of unmanned aircraft and their countermeasure systems which now form a central aspect of modern warfare.
The exercise activities included executing a series of scenarios involving detecting and attempting an armed attack on security points using armored vehicles, where targets were discovered and tracked using reconnaissance drones, and then dealt with using combat drones, neutralizing them before reaching their targets.
Countermeasures against hostile drones were also executed using jamming and electronic control systems, reflecting the high level of efficiency and readiness of the brigade's personnel, capable of detecting threats and neutralizing them with high efficiency and response speed.
At the end of the visit, Major General Al-Hunaity met with the officers, non-commissioned officers, and personnel of the brigade, conveying greetings, confidence, and pride from His Majesty the supreme commander of the armed forces, praising the high morale, allegiance, and loyalty to the leadership and the nation he witnessed, affirming that the armed forces continue their path in modernization and development to ensure the protection of the nation and its assets.
The visit was attended by several senior officers of the Jordanian Armed Forces - the Arab Army.
